The Chinese University of Hong Kong team, in collaboration with the Lantau Mountain Camp Residents Association, is embarking on the “Regenerating Lantau Mountain Camp” project. Funded by the Lantau Conservation Fund, this initiative pioneers a new model for sustainable conservation. This seminar traces the historical ties between the Camp and Mui Wo. Through themes of architecture, ecology, oral history, and education, we will explore how the restored Caretaker’s Hut forges a dialogue between past and future—and weaves together cultural continuity and ecological well-being.
Thank you everyone who care about heritage and nature and participated this meaningful exchange. Your perspective is a valued part of this important dialogue.
